Sunday Coupon Preview...

It's the first Sunday of the year and that means there will be LOTS of inserts!! Go here to check out what to expect for Sunday January 2. Normally the first Sunday of every year will have a bunch of extra coupons and inserts... I can't wait to see what we'll be getting. Be sure and get your coupon binders ready and clear out all of your expired coupons. Some of you may want to collect all your old q's and send them to a military base so they can use them (remember... they can use expired coupons for up to 6 months after the expiration date).

Let me know what kind of deals you are finding. Have a WONDERFUL and BLESSED New Year!!!

Where have I been?????

Sooo... I've been out of the loop for a little while. The holidays, home schooling and life in general has kept me so busy, that blogging has been the last thing on my mind. Couponing, however, has not. :) I'm still hunting the deals and "stockpiling" my closets and laundry room... my precious hubby installed new shelving for me in our laundry room, and now I have lots of storage space. Here's a pic.
Christmas was great! We are so blessed with our family, kids, friends and life in general. The Lord continues to show us how much He loves us with all of the blessings that He reveals to us...daily.

The New Year is upon us now. I'm so excited to see what is around the corner for us this year. We are praying for a distinct direction on moving, selling our home and what the Lord has for our family. 2011 is going to be a year like no other. Exciting! What are your expectations for this new year?? How were your holidays?? Have you found any great "deals"?

I'm going to be blogging again, yes, I promise. :) Keep your comments coming and your deal pictures.

What did you guys think about the TLC Extreme Couponing?? Did you see it? did it feel TOO familiar?? Comments?

The mystery behind printable q's...

I am always being asked questions about what is ok and not ok when it comes to printable coupons. I thought I'd make it easy and break it down for everyone...

1. The general rule for printable coupons is "2" coupons per computer. Manufacturer's set it up this way for us so that "Coupon Sites" will automatically lock us out after we have printed "2" coupons on each computer. I always try to hit my browser "Back" button a third time just to make sure the limit is really "2" and sometimes I score a third coupon... love that!

2. If the coupon is a "pdf" file, you can print the coupon multiple times. TOTALLY OK TO DO IT... unless otherwise specified by the coupon or the manufacturer. You will know it's a "pdf" when you start to print and your computer print screen comes up instead of being redirected to a "Coupon Site".

3. It is fraud to make copies of printable coupons. Period. If you print your limit for the number of PC's you have in your home, then you have reached your personal limit for your home. It's ok to have a friend PRINT them for you and give them to you, but ILLEGAL to make a photocopy of the coupon. Photocopied coupons make retailers HATE couponers. It ruins the couponing experience for everyone who honestly coupons. Printable coupons are tracked by the IP address on the coupon ( a unique code specific to your coupon and your PC). If you think that it's "OK" to just do it one time, it's not. It's fraud. Plain and simple.

I hope this answers some questions that you may have about printable coupons. If you find that you are always in need of more coupons, or can never seem to find the q you want here are a few ideas:

1. Try ebay.com It's a great way to hunt down a mystery coupon or buy a bunch at one time.

2. Head on over here and search her site... there are tons of other sites as well.

3. Start a "Coupon Train". It's a great way to get some really good coupons from friends and family.

Always remember to be honest when couponing. All it takes is one person to ruin it for everyone with these big retailers.

Free Batteries @ Ingles again this week!!!

Ingles has the Rayovac 4-pack Alkaline Batteries 5/$5 this week. To sweeten this up even more, Rayovac just reset their FB coupon and you can print a $1/1 q (twice per computer) and score ya some free batteries!!!!! The batteries that Ingles has on sale are a little bit stronger than the Walmart Rayovacs that are priced @ $.97 everyday.
